Background
I've been able to gain access to a number of Shropshire parish registers printed for the Shropshire Parish Register Society in the early 20th century. I've decided to re-publish the registers from the volumes which are out of copyright in web form to make them more accessible to scholars and family researchers.
The Shropshire Parish Register Society was amalgamated with the Shropshire Archaeological Society on January 1st, 1932. The Shropshire Archaeological Society is now the Shropshire Archaeological and Historical Society. Their website is hosted by the Discovering Shropshire's History organisation.
The registers of Buildwas, Clive, Hordley, Lee Brockhurst, Weston Under Red Castle, and Preston Gubbals (Preston Gobolds), were kindly provided to me by Mike Hulme who also provided the transcription of the preface to Preston Gubbals and loaned me his copy of this rare volume.
The registers published to date are:

Transcriptions
The transcriptions which follow have been made available for private, non-profit-making, use subject to the conditions of use applying to my website.
This website is being used to hold the work in progress but as the transcriptions are completed they are being archived on the Shropshire pages of GENUKI to ensure their long-term security.
Note that, during transcription, no attempt has been made to correct or interpret entries. Spelling has been left as written in the originals, and unreadable characters have been replaced or followed by a query (?). The indexes included by the Shropshire Parish Register Society with each parish have been omitted (but might be added at a later date if sufficient interest is shown). The search facility on this website is sufficiently powerful to avoid the need for separate indexes.
Benefices (in this case, parishes) in Shropshire, were under the control of the dioceses of Lichfield (now Coventry and Lichfield), Hereford, and St. Asaph. In most cases, each volume published by the Shropshire Parish Register Society contained one or more registers of parishes in one diocese, preceded by a short introduction. Where this is the case, I have split the original volume so that each parish is published in its own web page, and I have added a page containing the introduction written by the Shropshire Parish Register Society.

Parishes and Registration Districts
To assist researchers, I've added a table showing the cross reference between Parishes (or Townships) and Registration Districts in Shropshire after 1837. (This data was derived originally from that produced by Brett Langston.)
