ASTON-SANDFORD, a parish in the hundred of ASHENDON, county of BUCKINGHAM, 4 miles (E. N. E.) from Thame, containing 84 inhabitants. The living is a rectory, in the archdeaconry of Buckingham, and dio^ cese of Lincoln, rated in the king's books at £ 12. 16.0., and in the patronage of Mrs. Susannah Barber. The church, dedicated to St. Michael, is in the later styleof English architecture. The remains of the Rev. Thomas Scott, M.A., a learned and zealous commentator on the Holy Scriptures, were interred in the chancel.
