Nooks and Corners of Shropshire

H. Thornhill Timmins was the author of several books in the "Nooks and Corners" series. In 1899 his book "Nooks and Corners of Shropshire" was published and is sufficiently useful to local historians to deserve publication in web form.

Common to many writers of his day, Timmins' language is flowery and verbose in an attempt to convey visual images of rural Shropshire. However, he accompanies his text with a large number of good illustrations from his own drawings.
